András Cieger, PhD. študoval dejepis a teóriu politiky na Eötvös Lóránd Tudományegyetem v Budapešti, kde v roku 2003 získal titul PhD. Venuje sa politickým a sociálnym dejinám Uhorska v 19. storočí. Je autorom monografií Lónyay Menyhért 1822-1884. Szerepek – programok – konfliktusok. Budapest (2008) a Politikai korrupció a Monarchia Magyarországán. Budapest (2011).
